Young Talent: Sebsky’s Tomorrowland Debut

01/10/2025

At just 14 years old, Sebsky from Dilbeek has already achieved what many artists can only dream of – making his debut at Tomorrowland. This summer, the young DJ, whose real name is Sebastien Ceuppens, stepped onto one of the world's biggest stages and delivered a performance that left both audiences and media buzzing.

A Passion for Music

Sebastien lives in Dilbeek, studies at Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege in Brussels, plays the trumpet, and is also active as a football player at BOKA United. But above all, music is his greatest passion.

"What I can do that many others can't?" he says with a smile. "Make people dance. It's magical to create an atmosphere. I got my love for music from my parents, who always listened to electronic music. Thanks to the Tomorrowland Academy bootcamps, I learned a lot from experienced DJs like Lennert Wolfs, Hyalyte, Mitched, and Jorn Pricez. A strong DJ set is all about technique and feeling – the balance between track selection, smooth transitions, and adding effects to tell a story."

One day, he dreams of combining his two musical talents: "I'd love to bring my trumpet to the DJ booth."

Life Beyond the Decks

Like many teenagers, Sebastien admits he's not a morning person. With football training, music lessons, homework, and gigs filling his evenings, waking up early for school or a match is often the hardest part of his day.

His biggest inspiration? Martin Garrix. "He became a top DJ and producer at such a young age. That really motivates me."

If he had political power, Sebastien says he would focus on giving more opportunities to young musicians. "There's so much talent out there, but it's hard for young artists to break into the adult music world."

Digital Generation

Like every modern DJ, Sebsky is always surrounded by music. His headphones are the one item he can't live without. "With them, I can dive into music anytime – on the way to school, on public transport, even while studying. I discover new music through DJ friends, on SoundCloud, and by following trends on Instagram and TikTok."

Streaming platforms, he believes, are one of the best inventions of the digital age: "They give me access to almost every track ever made."

A Moment to Remember

Playing at Tomorrowland remains his most unforgettable experience so far.

"Sometimes I still have to pinch myself to believe it really happened," Sebastien says. "I started my set with house, then built it up step by step to hardhouse, techno, and finally hardtechno – with tracks I truly wanted to play. The reactions were overwhelming, from the international crowd, the specialised media, and music fans on social media. Since then, my TikTok and Instagram have exploded."

Looking Ahead

Sebsky's ambition is clear: to make a living from music as a DJ and producer. He also dreams of one day performing in Ibiza, the ultimate destination for nightlife and club culture.

Looking to the future, he predicts a growing influence of AI in the music industry. "It will play a huge role – from creating tracks to preparing DJ sets."

Beyond the Music

When he's not behind the decks, Sebastien enjoys series like Breaking Bad, comfort food like Aïki Chicken Noodles ("my go-to after exams"), and the beauty of his hometown. "The Castle de Viron in Dilbeek is stunning. I pass it every day and it still impresses me."

And while he sometimes thinks the 1990s club scene must have been more exciting than today's nightlife, one thing is certain: with his passion, discipline, and growing recognition, the future belongs to Sebsky.
