My Retro Classics Outdoor XXL Debut: Bringing Belgian Dance Classics Back to Life
Some gigs are special because of the crowd. Others because of the venue. And then there are those performances that connect you to the history of dance music itself.

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to make my debut at Retro Classics Outdoor XXL in Beringen, performing on the iconic Technobus stage. As someone who is usually associated with harder and more modern sounds, stepping into a world filled with retro anthems, Belgian dance classics and rave nostalgia was an experience I won't forget anytime soon.
Celebrating Belgium's Dance Heritage
Belgium has played a huge role in the global dance music scene. Long before today's festivals attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors, Belgian clubs and producers were already shaping the sound of electronic music.
For this set, I wanted to pay tribute to that legacy.
The playlist featured a selection of timeless classics and modern reworks of tracks that have filled dancefloors for decades. From unforgettable vocals and euphoric melodies to energetic jump-inspired beats, every track was chosen to bring people together and relive memories from different generations of clubbers.
The Unique Atmosphere of the Technobus
The Technobus is unlike any other stage.
Its intimate setting creates a direct connection between the DJ and the crowd. There is no distance, no barriers—just music, energy and people sharing the same moment.
From the first track until the final drop, the atmosphere inside the bus was incredible. Seeing people sing along, dance and smile to tracks they have loved for years reminded me why music is such a powerful force.
Learning from the Legends
One of the things I enjoy most about events like Retro Classics is the opportunity to share a lineup with artists who have helped shape the Belgian dance scene.
As a 15-year-old DJ, I grew up listening to many of these tracks long after they had already become classics. Being able to perform them for a live audience while adding my own style and energy felt like the perfect combination of past and future.
Thank You
A huge thank you to the Retro Classics Outdoor XXL organisation for inviting me, to everyone who came to the Technobus and to all of you who continue to support my journey.
Moments like these motivate me to keep learning, improving and pushing myself further as a DJ and performer.
See you at the next festival.
